{How To} Install Latest Android Marshmallow Aka Android M Developer Preview On Your Nexus Device {Guide}

On 17th august 2015, Google has finally announced its new android operating system “android m developer preview”  and android m stand for Marshmallow on the blogspot. according to official google blog android Marshmallow features list.

Here Is Complete Guide To Install New Android M Developer Preview On Your Nexus Device
few days ago Google officially announced New Android 6.0 (M) MarshMallow developer preview and it’s offering developer preview for Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and the Nexus player More Soon.

Here is the update
Today with the final Developer Preview update, we’re introducing the official Android 6.0 (M) SDK and opening Google Play Store for publishing your apps that target the new API level 23 in Android (M) Marshmallow Jamal Eason, Product Manager, Android
Some Important Things Must To Keep In Mind.

This developer preview is released for Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and the Nexus player Only so do not try to flash this preview on any other devices.
This software is a developer preview means it contains bugs. yes it can be risky!!!
Before installing developer preview take a complete backup of the device because this process may erase all user data stored in your device.
The bootloader of nexus device must be unlocked to install android Marshmallow. if the bootloader is already unlocked, your data will remain on the device, but I recommended you to take backup of device for safety of ur personal userdata.
I am not responsible for any type of damage of your device. do this process on your own risk.
Requirments

Unlocked bootloader.
You have to install appropriate drivers. you can catch from here. Here you are working with nexus device so that you want to Google USB drivers (Download From Here)

Instruction:

Double click on .tgz file.
You can see your device title(ex. Volantis for Nexus 9)
You should see the collection of files select all of them and select the destination of ADB directory and Fastboot and click on Extract to extract all files.
Enable Usb debugging (make sure adb drivers is installed) and connect nexus device via USB to your pc. after connecting your device to pc you will get popup box on your nexus device regarding permission of USB debugging. click on always allow from this pc and click ok.
If your device not detect then open notification panel and select transfer photos.
eject the device from computer and turn off nexus device.
Press and hold power and volume down to restart your nexus to bootloader section.
Connect your device to pc via USB cable.
Now go to extracted firmware folder which is in the ADB tools folder.
Double click on flash-all.bat file and be wait for some time.
After sometimes your nexus device will restart and be running on Android M (Marshmallow)  preview version 3. if you get an error then check troubleshooting section below given.

ADB PROBLEMS:

If you get an error regarding system.img file is missing then first you have to again extract firmware into ADB tools folder then open command window by hold Shift and right click, select Open command window here.
Enter below Fastboot commands:
fastboot flash bootloader <bootloader-filename>.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash cache cache.img
fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
Once your device reboot it should be running on the Android M preview. That’s it enjoy newly installed Android M :)
