How to:Android KitKat firmware update available for Samsung Galaxy Note 2

After rolling a Kitkat firmware update to Galaxy S3 last week. AT&T releases an official firmware (I317UCUCNE5) update to awaiting Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Galaxy Note 2 users can check and confirm their new software update from today over-the-air. Second generation Note users can experience all Kitkat OS features and performance. Firmware includes new security lock screen and on right camera shortcut icons.

And dual messaging apps for SMS and MMS messages, redesigned navigations and status bar. The connectivity features has added wireless printing option via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Advance settings in video player and music. Additional features such as new system storage framework, location settings and able to set sounds for Samsung Applications (call/messages/calendar/email). 

To check for new firmware updates on Samsung: Access device settings in menu and navigate to about phones. There you find current baseband version, built number and Android version. To update manually, Scroll down and tap on software update>check for updates option. This option actually checks compatible update for device. When available, follow update installation guide on the Smartphone/Tablet. Choose install now, automatically reboot device to begin update process.


Samsung website reports update brings a package of Android Kitkat firmware and other improvement in features.
