iPhone icons can be changed from squares to circles thanks to hack
iOS glitch lets you change your iPhone icons from squares to circles without jailbreaking
If you want to play around with your iPhone and are bored of the appearance of the apps on your smartphone, then here is a neat little trick that you can use to your advantage. While this new trick might not be as useful as an Android widget or let you personalize your phone anywhere to the extent of a new theme, for iOS users it is actually quite a major change.
It involves a way to alter the shape of the icons on iPhone thanks to a glitch that affects any device running the latest version of Apple’s mobile platform.
If you view the video shown above, you will be able to see that the glitch allows users to change the current curved squares to full circles. Fortunately, there is no need to perform that tedious jailbreak process and it only takes a few minutes to complete. All that is required is to find a very small image, for example, one that measures at 3 x 3 pixels will suffice, and upload it as your wallpaper, which can be done by going to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose a New Wallpaper > Camera Roll and select the image from there. While this could just be another glitch thanks to Apple not looking out for certain things, it is nice to see that a glitch actually works in your favor. News has probably reached Apple by now and their developers are probably working round the clock to deliver the fix.
