MTN Smooth Talk Tariff Plan: 20K/Sec for All Calls

MTN Nigeria introduces another competitive tariff plan, MTN Smooth Talk. MTN Smooth Talk is one of the best tariff plans MTN Nigeria has ever introduced -a tariff plan that makes calling at a flat rate of N12/min or 20K/sec for both MTNtoMTN calls and MTNtoOther networks possible.

However MTN Smooth talk tariff plan comes with a daily access fee of N5.00. You can choose to either manually or automatically activate MTN Smooth Talk Tariff plan on your line.

To migrate to MTN smooth Talk tariff plan, simply text 401 to 131 or dial *401# on your phone.

How Does it Work?

The tariff plan, on activation, is usually active for 24hrs though, you may opt in for automatic activation and in this case, the system will automatically migrate your line to MTN Smooth Talk tariff plan once the circle is complete.

For instance, let say you text 401 to 131 or dial *401# to activate the tariff plan at 2.30pm on the 1st of August, 2012, NGN5.00 will immediately be deducted from your account and you will receive a confirmation message showing that you are now on the MTN Smooth Talk tariff plan and that NGN5.00 has been deducted from your account. And so, all the bounties begin!

You can then start enjoying 20kobo/sec for your MTN2MTN calls and 20kobo/sec for your MTN2Other networks call.

When initiating a call, you will be told how much you will be charged for every second of that call and at the end of every call, you will be told how much the last call cost and your balance as at that time.

Also, at 7.30am on the 2nd of August thus, the following day that you have activated the line, you will be reminded that your MTN Smooth Talk subscription will expire at 2.30pm.

By then, you will also be asked if you want to renew your MTN Smooth Talk subscription automatically at 2.30pm on that same day hence, NGN5.00 will automatically be deducted from your account if you choose to renew your MTN Smooth Talk subscription automatically.

On the other hand, if you do not opt in for the auto-renewal, you will be charged for your calls, the dafault MTN tariff of 20K/sec for MTNtoMTN Calls and 30K/sec for calls to other networks.
