How to Retrieve your Airtel Line from Airtel Selfcare Portal

In one of our recent posts, we discussed a new customer service introduced by airtel; the Airtel Selfcare Portal. It is an online portal where subscribers can directly contact airtel agents to resolve network problems and others.

Although, you, as an airtel subscriber that has registered on the selfcare portal has access to lots of airtel services but the one we are to discuss here is your ability to retrieve your stolen/lost/damaged airtel line.

How to Retrieve Airtel Line on Airtel Selfcare Portal

1- Get a new airtel line or if you have any airtel line that hes never been insterted into any phone. It is not neccessary that you register the new line before you proceed.

2- First, if you have not registered on the Airtel Selfcare Portal click here and registere on the portal. Please note that only the line you registere on the portal could be retrieved using the selfcare portal.

3- If you have registered on the portal, simply sign in, locate and click on the SIM swap icon on the portal. Fill the form that appears on the next page and click submit.

Please note that your three (3) frequently called numbers (Airtel or other network's numbers), your last recharge denomination thus; N50, N100 or above and also, for how long back you have recharged the line -all these are important info about the SIM you lost that you must fill in the appropriate boxes correctly if you want the SIMSwap done without any delays.

Once you have submitted the form successfully, the original SIM would be blocked and within 24 hours, you can insert the new Airtel SIM whose serial number was given during the retrieval process.

In addition to the Over the Air (On phone) customer service that airtel Nigeria offers subscribers, the company has recently added an online self-care portal where subscribers can lay complains, retrieve lines and more.

I must say, this is a welcomed and much needed service especially; from airtel whose cstomercare line, 111 is mostly congested whenever you try to reach the line.

What to Expect

1- Direct interaction with airtel customer agents that are available 24/7 to answer your question and grant your needs.

2- SIM Swap/Retrieval: just in case you loose your SIM, you can easily retrieve the line by yourself on the selfcare portal anywhere and anytime -all you need would be just an internet connection.

3- SIM Block: By using the selfcare portal, you can easily access and block and restrict access to your registered airtel SIM card. For example, let say you missplaced your airtel SIM for sometimes and noticed that someone is still using the line, you can easily block the SIM by yourself online.

MTN Smooth Talk Tariff Plan: 20K/Sec for All Calls

MTN Nigeria introduces another competitive tariff plan, MTN Smooth Talk. MTN Smooth Talk is one of the best tariff plans MTN Nigeria has ever introduced -a tariff plan that makes calling at a flat rate of N12/min or 20K/sec for both MTNtoMTN calls and MTNtoOther networks possible.

However MTN Smooth talk tariff plan comes with a daily access fee of N5.00. You can choose to either manually or automatically activate MTN Smooth Talk Tariff plan on your line.

To migrate to MTN smooth Talk tariff plan, simply text 401 to 131 or dial *401# on your phone.

How Does it Work?

The tariff plan, on activation, is usually active for 24hrs though, you may opt in for automatic activation and in this case, the system will automatically migrate your line to MTN Smooth Talk tariff plan once the circle is complete.

For instance, let say you text 401 to 131 or dial *401# to activate the tariff plan at 2.30pm on the 1st of August, 2012, NGN5.00 will immediately be deducted from your account and you will receive a confirmation message showing that you are now on the MTN Smooth Talk tariff plan and that NGN5.00 has been deducted from your account. And so, all the bounties begin!

You can then start enjoying 20kobo/sec for your MTN2MTN calls and 20kobo/sec for your MTN2Other networks call.

When initiating a call, you will be told how much you will be charged for every second of that call and at the end of every call, you will be told how much the last call cost and your balance as at that time.

Also, at 7.30am on the 2nd of August thus, the following day that you have activated the line, you will be reminded that your MTN Smooth Talk subscription will expire at 2.30pm.

By then, you will also be asked if you want to renew your MTN Smooth Talk subscription automatically at 2.30pm on that same day hence, NGN5.00 will automatically be deducted from your account if you choose to renew your MTN Smooth Talk subscription automatically.

On the other hand, if you do not opt in for the auto-renewal, you will be charged for your calls, the dafault MTN tariff of 20K/sec for MTNtoMTN Calls and 30K/sec for calls to other networks.

How to Connect your Facebook Account with 2go

You should know how to connect your facebook account with your 2go account so that you may start chatting in real time with your facebook friends the moment you are through reading this

Once you are able to successfully connect both accounts, whenever you are on 2go, you will be able to see all your facebook friends that are chatting and you can initiate chat with them as well to catch fun!

How to Connect facebook with 2go

Connecting your facebook account to 2go is as simple as signing into your facebook account, just follow the steps below to connect your facebook account with 2go and start chatting right on 2go!

Step- 1 Lunch the 2go application on your phone if you already have it installed. If you don't already have 2go installed on the phone, visit 2go.im on your phone to register and download the 2go application. Once the installation is successful, lunch the application.

Step- 2
On the 2go main screen, navigate down to "Settings" then select "Gateways" and choose facebook then, click "ACTIVATE". On the screen that appears next, enter your facebook username and password correctly then, click Submit.

Please note that your facebook username is not the name that appears on your facebook profile but the tab of the link, when visited on a desktop computer, that takes you to your profile.

How to Connect your Twitter with 2go

By the time you read through this article, you should know how to connect your twitter account with your 2go account so that you may post directly to your twitter timeline from 2go.

Once you are able to connect your twiter account with 2go, you will be able to view tweets as they arrive on your twitter timeline (If you are on 2go), post replies to each tweet and also post tweets right within your 2go app.

How to Connect Twitter with 2go

Without any further delay, just follow the steps below to connect your twitter account with 2go and start viewing your twitter timeline right on 2go!

Step- 1 Visit www.tweet.im on your browser. On getting to the page click the "Sign in with Twitter" image.
By clicking on the "Sign in with twitter" image, you should be directed to a twitter webpage where you would be asked to authenticate and grant the application access to doing certain things in your twitter account on your behave.
To do this, on the screen that appears, you will enter your correct twitter username and password then, click "Authorize".

Step- 4: After that, go back to your 2go friend list and accept the froiend request from GTalk. The friend request would be from your Gtalk username thus; your gtalkusername@tweet.im

When all these are done successfully, you'll be able to perform your twitter activities easily without stress. To tweet, just click on yourGtalkusername@tweet.im within your 2go app friends list and sarting chatting on.

Please note that only Gtalk can be used for the registeration and that all your tweets within 2go app will appear on your twitter timeline.

Before we proceed, I want us to know clearly that this tutorial can help you change your 2go password if you still have access to your 2go account thus; if you have not forgotten your 2go password. But, if you have forgotten your 2go password and wishes to retrieve the password you may click: How to Regain Forgotten 2go Password Free.

Now, this tutorial would help you in changing your 2go password to a password you may possibly never forget and so, you would have no need to spend N30 at changing it again.

What is 2go?

To change your 2go password, lunch the 2go client on your phone and log in. Once done, on the main screen scroll or navigate down to Settings, then navigate down to Change Password.
